Dashboard
See how AI assistants talk about your brand, compare yourself with competitors, and find what to do next, all on one page.
The Dashboard (/dashboard) shows how AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity see your brand in the period you choose: how often you're mentioned, your share against competitors, how often your site is cited, and what to fix next.
It has three tabs: Overview (the default), Connections and Issues.
How a prompt becomes dashboard metrics
New prompts run within minutes, then repeat on their Run Schedule (Daily, Weekly or Monthly). Answers are grouped by local day in your workspace time zone.
Filter the view
All cards on Overview use the same period and filters.
Pick a period
Choose Today, Last 7 days (default), Last 30 days, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 12 months or Custom range. A custom range can cover 1 to 365 days inside the last year.
Narrow by topic or engine
Use the Topics and Platforms chips. Open the funnel icon for Country, Language, Target Audience, Scope, intents and tags. Clear all resets everything.
Share the view
Your period and filters are saved in the page address. Reload the page or send the link, and the same view opens.
- If a saved filter value no longer exists in the workspace, a red notice lists it. Click Remove these values to drop it.
- The filter bar stays pinned as you scroll. Once the score cards scroll away, a compact score strip appears in the bar.
Overview tab
Highlights
| Tile | What it shows | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Discoverability Score | Checks passed out of all checks in your latest website audit. | Higher is better. Click the tile to open the Issues tab. Shows "No audit yet" before the first audit. |
| Prompt Coverage | Tracked prompts out of all prompts defined for the workspace. | Untracked prompts are suggestions not yet scheduled. See Prompt coverage. |
| Top Sources | The domains AI answers cite most: your own site plus the five most-cited other domains. | Your site always shows, even at 0 ("Not used as a source yet"). |
Score cards
Four cards, each with a donut, an info hint and a change pill. Full formulas are in Metrics explained.
| Card | In one line |
|---|---|
| Visibility Score | The share of AI answers that mention your brand. The donut splits answers into Mentioned, Branded, Competitor branded and No response. |
| Share of Voice | Your share of all brand mentions, against the competitors you track. |
| Share of Citations | The share of all citations that point to your website. |
| Sentiment Analysis | The share of positive sentiment about your brand, with a Positive / Neutral / Negative donut. |
The change pill compares the period with the one of equal length just before. No pill means the earlier period had no data, or the value moved by less than 1 percentage point.
First-run setup card
While your workspace's first tracking run is in progress, a card titled We're setting things up for you! sits in the score area. It shows three stages:
- Verifying prompts and topics: how many prompts and responses are planned.
- Building responses: how many answers are in so far.
- Creating sentiment analysis: how many answers have been analysed.
The dashboard refreshes every 15 seconds and cards fill in as data arrives. Click Complete Connections to set up tools while you wait. The card disappears when the run ends.
Complete Connections banner
Owners and Admins see a Complete Connections banner until Visitor Analytics, Crawler Analytics, Webmaster Tools and CMS are all connected. Click Setup to open the Connections tab, or Dismiss to hide it for yourself.
Visitor & Crawl Analytics
- Referral Traffic (Human): Visitors, Sessions, Page Views and Event Counts from Google Analytics.
- Crawler Activity (Bot): Active Agents, Page Crawl, Top Crawler and Top Purpose from your CDN or host. Purposes are Model training, AI search index, User request and Search engine.
If a source isn't connected, its half shows a setup button instead. Google Analytics is read live and can be slow. If it times out, click Retry. See Website Analytics.
Brand Visibility Trend
One line per brand in your tracked roster, with your brand highlighted. Each point is that day's Visibility. A day with no answers is a gap, not zero. Switch between Line chart and Bar chart; the bar view matches the Leaderboard.
Leaderboard
Your brand and tracked competitors ranked by Visibility, highest first. Ties go to the brand with more mentions. A competitor added after the answers were analysed shows "—" instead of 0%. Owners and Admins click Manage to add or remove competitors.
Visibility by topic
A grid of topics (rows) against your brand and each tracked competitor (columns). Each cell is that brand's Visibility on that topic, shaded green. A Needs work tag means at least one competitor beats you on that topic.
Visibility by Market
A map and a list of countries with your Visibility and the number of responses in each. A market with no analysed answers shows "—", never 0%.
Actions
Your to-do list, filterable by All, External and Internal:
- Findings from your latest website audit, most severe first.
- Discovered brands to review as competitors ("Mentioned in N answers alongside your brand").
- Connections still to make.
Click a row to jump to the right place: the Issues tab, the Connections tab, or Manage competitors with the brand name filled in.
Activity Feed
What happened in the workspace over the last 30 days, tagged Tracking, Audit, Connections, Competitors, Prompts, Team and Content.
Export the dashboard
Click Export in the header.
| Option | What you get |
|---|---|
| Export CSV / Export JSON | The data for the current period and filters. |
| Copy as CSV / Copy as JSON | The same data on your clipboard. |
| Open in Google Sheets | A new sheet. Asks for Google Drive access the first time. |
| Export PDF | A designed AI Visibility Report built from what's on screen. Available once every card has loaded. |
The Brand Visibility Trend card has its own export menu: Download CSV, Download JSON, Download PNG and Open in Google Sheets.
Connections tab
Connect your tools in four steps: Visitor Analytics (Google Analytics), Crawler Analytics (your CDN or host), Webmaster Tools (Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools) and CMS. Use Connect, Skip or Back to move through them. Skipped steps can be connected later from Settings › Integrations.
Members see "An owner or admin connects tools." See Integrations.
Issues tab
The Issues tab shows your website audit: how well AI crawlers and agents can find and read your site.
- Crawlers: how many of the AI crawlers Opttab checked can read your whole domain. Search engines are listed separately.
- Checks: a checklist across Discoverability, Content accessibility, Bot access control, Protocol discovery and Commerce. Each check explains Why it matters and What to do.
- Problems: a Problems to fix table.
Opttab runs the first audit automatically once your website is set up. While it runs, a timeline shows the stages: Reaching website, Sources, Pages, Verify, Audit rules, Issues. Only one audit runs per workspace at a time, and each audit covers a limited number of pages.
If a scan stops ("Scan stopped: website unreachable" or "Scan stopped: domain does not resolve"), check your website address, then click Start a new scan.
