Can Chat launch ads for me?

Chat can build campaigns, ad groups and ads on your OpenAI Ads account — but it always creates them paused. Nothing spends until a person activates it.

Here's how it works:

1. Ask Chat for a campaign, or run a skill such as Campaign builder or Insight to campaign.
2. Chat shows a confirm card listing what it will create. Confirm it.
3. Everything is created paused.
4. Open Ads › Campaign Manager, select the campaign and choose Activate selected.

Chat can also edit ads (without raising budgets or bids) and pause them. It never activates ads or raises a budget — those are always your call.
