Opttab MCP server

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude Code or Cursor to Opttab's MCP server so your AI assistant can read one workspace's AI visibility data.

Opttab runs an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant call tools from another service. Connect your assistant once, then ask it questions such as "How visible is my brand in AI search this month, and which prompts am I weakest on?"

Read-only. Your assistant can see your data but cannot change it. Every tool is a read on one workspace. Who can use it: any signed-in member can connect their own assistant. MCP access and the monthly call allowance depend on your plan — see Settings › Billing.

How it works

Find your server address

Open Settings › MCP. Server address shows the address to add to any MCP client, with a copy button. Clients that sign in with OAuth need no API key.

Connect a client

Claude, ChatGPT and Grok sign in with your Opttab account (OAuth). Claude Code and Cursor send an API key in a header.

Add to Claude

In Settings › MCP › Connect a client, open the Claude tab and click Add to Claude. Claude opens its connectors with Opttab filled in.

Connect

In Claude, click Add, then Connect.

Sign in with your Opttab account, choose a workspace and click Allow access.
API keys are read-only and count against the same MCP calls as OAuth clients. Revoke them in Settings › API.

The sign-in screen

When an OAuth client connects, Opttab opens Connect {client} to Opttab:

  1. Choose a Workspace. Access reads "Read dashboard, prompts and analytics data".
  2. Click Allow access, or Cancel.
  3. You see "Connected — Taking you back to your AI assistant…"

The assistant acts as you. If you lose access to the workspace, so does the assistant.

Tools

Every tool reads the connected workspace and uses one MCP call. Many tools take a period (7d, 30d, 3m, 6m, 1y) and filters such as platforms, countries, topics, intents and tags.

Usage and connected clients

Settings › MCP also shows:

  • Connected clients: the assistants you signed in from, with Client, Workspace, Connected and Last used. Click Disconnect to end access at once.
  • MCP calls this period: "{used} of {limit} used · renews on {date}", or "no limit on your plan".
  • Writes: "Reads only. Your assistant can see your data but cannot change it."
